The Himalayan small Country Nepal is in Brick size between China and India.  When you will have arrived in Nepal there are many options for your exploring as a traveller. There are many more hills and mountains on
the northen part of the country. It has fully mountains on it's whole  northen broader. World's highest peak the Mountain Everest is here in  Nepal.

Now This artical is centralizing beyond KALANG कलंग travelling. KALANG कलंग lies in JIRI   जिरी . JIRI  जिरी is one of the village in all fifty-six village
Development  Samitees of Dolakha  दोलखा District. There are seventy-five
districts altogether in NEPAL   नेपाल .

I am focusing for a little place KALANG  कलंग . Because it is my place. It is my village. I hope you like to visit this place my village as a
friend.

KALANG कलंग  is some 170 Kilometers far from the capital city  KATHMANDU. You may stay some days in the capital city or around the valley. There are some attractions around Kathmandu valley. They are Nagarkot hill,
Hanuman Dhoka Darbar, Bhaktapur Darbar, Patan Dhoka Darbar, Thamel, zoo, some musiems , SoyembhuNath and PashupatiNath etc.

You can visit these places before KALANG कलंग visiting or after visiting of my village.

You can get  fifteen days visa at airport at your arrival. It can be
extended up to three months at a time. There is only one  international airport in Nepal yet , that is located in the capital city Kathmandu.

Many vehicles (Taxis) are available at airport to get the tourists and
they reach the tourists to the hotels and Lodges in their interests and tourists interests safely. It is better to remember the vehicle  no.

Next day you can begin your KALANG कलंग travel from OLD BUSPARK in  RATNAPARK. There are some bus ticket counters in The CITY BUS STATION of RATNAPARK. CITY BUS STATION and OLD BUSPARK is the same place. It  is also called PURANO BUSPARK. You have to make an enquery of TICKET  for JIRI जिरी Bus. Fare begins from $05:00 and may take $08:00 for the very  quick bus.

BEWARE OF PICK

POCKETERS (PICKETERS) around the Bus Park or getting on and getting off time on the Bus.

You have to call to your friend in far village form the Bus Park with
the Bus No. and leaving time. For example call me for your KALANG  कलंग 
visit. 

You have easy to obtain A MOBILE SIM CARD in a numberable shops around  Kathmandu.You have to bring a mobile set whether it'll be very normal.

It is your first day for KALANG कलंग , when you begin from Kathmandu Bus.  It is also an enjoyment one tour through the bus. Quickly you live the  city after an hour in Thirty Kilometers. The bus goes down among the thin trees and houses to the Indrawati River. Then it moves little up  and almost all straightly goes on the Bank of SunKoshi river up to
KhadiChour. Again 110 Kilometers remains for JIRI जिरी .

The bus goes up on several turnings crossing SunKoshi river after KhadiChour.  The passengers may feel of flying, when Bus moves some fifteen turnings up
centralizing on SunKoshi river and a high flat hill.

While it passes all there fifteen turnings it again takes more one
hour to reach Mudhe Bazar. It is in very high place of this long road  to JIRI जिरी  from Kathmandu. In a kilometer way the Bus reaches at the  Magnecite place. One  Kilometer road is crude road on the Magnecite  area. This place is called KHARI DHUNGA.

The Bus moves down road  through several turnings.

Soon it passes Bocha and  MakaiBari places. When it crosses Charange Khola river it reaches a long T-size village Bazar   CHARIKOT  .

CHARIKOT is the HEADQUATER of Dolakha दोलखा District. Jiri जिरी is ahead in
Fifty-Five Kilometers.  The Bus again moves down to TAMAKOSHI. There is small market.

THERE ARE THREE LONGEST RIVERS IN NEPAL. EACH HAS SEVEN BRANCHES  RIVERS. THE EASTERN RIVER IS CALLED KOSHI. INDRAWATI,  SUNKOSHI AND
TAMAKOSHI ARE IT'S BRANCHES. OTHER FOUR ARE IN EAST FROM JIRI. THEY  ARE LIKHU,  DUDHKOSHI, ARUN  AND TAMOR.

The Bus goes ahead up road for Jiri जिरी from Tamakoshi. Within one and  half hour it crosses Namdu village and MAINAPOKHARI Bazar by several  turnings followed by Torke and ShittaKoThan to reach KHAWA Bazar in  HANUMANTE Pass. This Khawa   Bazar lies in KALANG कलंग . It is in top hill.

Mainly ethinic people and migrant new people live in this about
thirty-five houses  as well as about 170 people's very small market  place in HANUMANTE pass. This is my market too.

Now you are in KALANG कलंग . Bus should run 13 Kilometers for Jiri. But only  three Kilometers ahead there is KALANG कलंग  village. KALANG कलंग , where I was  born and I had grown up. WE CAN MEET HERE. You can see fully jungle on  the northen side of the very small road from Kathmandu and thin houses
village in the down or southern side in KALANGकलंग .

Such a way, you have done an important first day travel through up as  a top hill and down like a river or valley for KALANG कलंग .

FIRST TRACK TWO for KALANG VISITING!

It is the first day in Kalang and second programme day for this first  plot of Jiri area.

If you would like to give or spend five days time ;  we can manage Kalang stepping time at begining day in KALANG such a way.

At six      wake up and refreshing etc up to seven. 

At seven     light breakfast. At eight     Begins the KALANG walk around this small village.  We reach to Puplung Chaur through Avise , Thulo Khola, Puplung Bari,  Fagune, Thara Goth Ghaderi at Nine Thirty. We can see Thokpo, Pipiri,  ThulNagi, HariNande, Hanumante, BulDanda, Basa, the village KALANG and  Khawa Danda from Puplung. We move down from Puplung at Ten Thirty.

At Eleven we have our meal at Puplung Bari at resident of Kiran (my  youngest brother).

At quarter to Twelve we begin our day travel along the road from the  resident of Kiran (Puplung Bari) to west. Some three kilometers for Khawa Bazar, after that some two kilometers west again for Faplu jungle.

At half past one we return from Faplu to Khawa. At Two, we will have tea as same as normal tiffin at Khawa Hotel. At Two Thirty we begin a path walk to south east down.

At Three we reach at a primary school named Deurali Primary School At Hile. We may talk little with teacher and students if that day is not holiday. But here is a type of trend that is an expectation remains with a foreigner by a school whether that can be very normal.

At Three Thirty our journey steps ahead on the down path we reach at a stream called Mudhe Khola through Dharapani slope at Four. We have to walk hilly way , climb up again the second time for a same day to my home through Chyamfek and Gidre.

At Five we reach at the home.

At Five Thirty we have tea time. After tea our talking time begins.

At Seven to seven Thirty is the dinner time.

At Eight Thirty the day ends. We sleep.

FIRST TRACK THREE for KALANG VISITING!

This day is for jungle traveling above KALANG village.

At 07:00    light available BREAKFAST at home.

At 08:00     lunch time at Puplung Bari at Kiran's living place.

After lunch the travel goes up towards jungle path to Hanumante top by the way of Makai Bari, Hari Nande, Fokte, Gairi.
Hanumante is the second highest hill of Jiri and everybody is able on the top of Hanumante for far sighting.

We have some dry food for this day travel, because of there is no hotel along the path.

At 15:00, the journey return back to the home. At 16:00, we reach at Puplung Bari at Kiran's home and we can take a light food.

At 17:00, we will have reached to the living place.

FIRST TRACK FOUR for KALANG VISITING!

Day begins as always. But this third day in KALANG or Fourth day for KALANG has seperate movements than usual.

At 06:45    the daily breakfast begins with tea. After breakfast the journey moves towards below middle height of the highest hill of Jiri  area CHERDUNG.

At 07:45      the journey members take meal at Kiran's area at Puplung  Bari. After meal journey moves to CHERDUNG Cheese Facuery , which has just little higher altitude than KALANG.

Journey will be stepping by RajaKoGothGhaderi, Birali, NigroGhari, Chyabur, Falate, BulDanda, Nabok etc places.  At 12:30    the team is able to reach at  CHERDUNG Cheese Factory among the jungle path. At 13:15   travelling getting down on JIRI BAZAR. Then have a tea
break with some noodles or bazar bread.

There are two markets in Jiri. Jiri up market and Jiri down market. The travelling team getting down Jiri down market and visits the very  little market place, Jiri Hospital area and Jiri airport area.

At 15:00    the travelling team becames ready to go Bamti Bhandar by bus.  The bus comes from Kathmandu for Bamti Bhandar and we take on it in  Jiri. It will be 45 kilometers or more form Jiri.  At 19:00    we reach there in Bamti Bhandar by bus. We have to stay  and eat at lodge in Bamti Bhandar.


In these days, BAMTI BHANDAR has been becoming the gate way of The MOUNT EVEREST except SUMMER Season. Other wise JIRI is always the GateWay of The MOUNT EVEREST.

FIRST TRACK FIVE for KALANG TRAVELLING!

It is the FIFTH day begining from the capital city Kathmandu for The KALANG TRAVELLING. But on this Fifth day we are not only at KALANG, but the District is also exchanged. BAMTI BHANDAR lies in RameChhap District. From this place, at least five days strong walking is remained for the base camp of the Mount Everest to east. And one full day walking is necessary to return back to KALANG to west.

We have some three steps for this day and we only can attend only one step in your choice  in the following:

¤STEP ONE ¤ 1st Track5 §
We can go down again  to Likhu River after breakfast  and reach to small Kinja Bazar and have a lunch there. After Likhu River the small Bazar Kinja lies in again seperate District SoluKhumbu. The highest peak The Mount Everest lies in Solukhumbu District, but again takes  more five days strong walk from Kinja. Likhu Khola River is a main
branch in all seven branches of the biggest eastern Koshi river. Koshi River is one in whole three biggest rivers of Nepal.

Such a way , we return back from Kinja Bazar to Bamti Bhandar and we move up to Deurali Hill. There is little Deurali Market. We may have tea break time here and we can go straight on the hill to north. There is also a government Cheese Factory as well as before Cherdung Cheese Factory and here named Thodung Cheese Factory of RameChhap District. We have to live here or Bamti Bhandar whole night. And it is possible to return back to home KALANG by bus tomorrow early in the morning and we are able to reach Kalang around Ten.

¤STEP TWO ¤1st Track5 §

After breakfast we can move up to Deurali hill and get there lunch. Then seeing around up to Thodung Cheese Factory. Returning back to Deurali Hill small Bazar. We will have again tea time there.  After tea break we come down towards Shivalaya around three hours  walking down from Deurali Top. We pass the whole night here in Shivalaya. We can get a bus tomorrow  morning to go to KALANG , Jiri and reach Kalang around Ten.



¤STEP THREE ¤ 1st Track5 §

We can apply one of above step for this day or we consider this third  step  as well for this 5th day KALANG TRAVELLING Tour as below: 

We are in Bamti Bhandar of RameChhap district and we begin this day journey up way walking from the place towards DEURALI HILL after  breakfast at 07:30
And the lunch is between 08:30  to 09:00 at DEURALI MARKET.
Before 09:30 we move down towards Shivalaya, because of this journey
is for up to Jiri today.
At 12:15 we begin from Shivalaya to JIRI through Dovan, Mali slope,  Kuthame Danda , Jor Chautara and RatMate .

This day's attraction is walking to Jiri from Bamti Bhandar and we can  reach Jiri around 16:00. We try to reach to KALANG home from Jiri as  far as possible if much tired we pass this night in the lodge in  Jiri Bazar and tomorrow morning we come to Kalang by bus before Ten O'clock for the ten kilometers.

FIRST TRACK SIX for KALANG !

Our KALANG TRAVELLING is passing on the way of sight scene and feeling
of small trekking.

Now you are little familiar about KALANG and around KALANG, this is
why you have to prepare for this day plan what you like
or where do you like to go. Otherwise we can go for grazing cows near
house or Puplung Bari if you are alone here. But if you are in a group
at that moment we can go to the jungle separate path after the lunch.
This is taking day too.

FIRST TRACK SEVEN for KALANG !

At first I do not no, how long days are necessary to visit KALANG, but
now I am in a conclusion that normally a week needed for KALANG Tour.
Seven days ago, your plan had begun from Kathmandu for KALANG
TRAVELLING and now in this seventh day it is terminated. Today it is
your returning day. You can reach this evening in Kathmandu. You can
get on the bus at KALANG to Kathmandu. The seventh days are easily
passing for KALANG TRAVELLING. Two days are automatically loosing on
the way. One for coming from Kathmandu and another one day is for
going to Kathmandu.

I do not know. HOW IS YOUR FEELING! I have no experience. I have
expended my whole time on teaching for the children.

But we can talk forever ABOUT YOUR EXPERIENCE of KALANG TRAVELLING.


I LIKE YOUR STAYING. IF YOU HAVE MORE TIME THAN A WEEK WE HAVE MANY
MORE THINGS TO SEE AROUND HERE IN KALANG. WE HAVE VERY WIDE WITH
JUNGLE AND OTHER THINGS.


On the other hand If you have not a week time and only FIVE days time
; we can see something in FIVE days time too.



Better is that you have at least FORTNIGHT period is very better for
KALANG TRAVELLING.

(2)  Thick Clothes
 KALANG and JIRI and AROUND are cold places, so
(3)  Jackets and Sleeping Bag are very necessary.

(1) In KALANG there is no any lodge and restaurant, so you have to
full fill with the local food in your staying;
Like Special Local Food is -> DAAL (Cooking Lentils) , BHAT (Cooking
Rice)and TARKARI (Cooking Potato, Beans, Cabbage, vegetable [Seasonal]
etc )
For Lunch and Dinner.

(2) For breakfast , Tiffin and other food KALANG has available of
Wheat Bread, Popcorn, Fried Wheat, Millet Bread, Maize Bread etc.
(3) Black Tea and Milk tea are available.
(4) Chicken and eggs are available.

Main Bazars like Jiri Down Market [also called LINCON BAZAR ],
Shivalaya Bazar, Deurali Hill Bazar and Bamti Bhandar Bazar have some
western food available.

YOUR ARRIVAL IN KALANG!

I'd like to purpose to buy a SIM CARD at Nepal's international airport
when you arrive from aboard to Nepal. The MOBILE SIM CARDs are
available whether you are inside of airport or outside in several
shops in the capital city Kathmandu. Mainly there are two types of
MOBILE SIM CARDs for high coverage are available in the capital city.
"NCell" and "NTC" . both have about same tariff to call out but NTC
sim cost is around US $16.00 (sixteen) It is called  NAMASTE SIM CARD.
It  {www.ntc.net.np} is only one government company.

NCell  {www.ncell.com.np} is one of the top most private company in
Nepal. It has claimed that it's geographical coverage  is 28.1 % and
population coverage is 70.53 % in Nepal. But the cost of MOBILE SIM
CARD is only US $02:00 (two) . It has not only facilitate  to make a
video call from Mt. Everest area but also possible make an internet
connection across it's coverage.

Visa is provided at airport on arrival for 15 days for tourists . It
can be extended  up to three months in a running year.

Still I am in Kathmandu and all to all  time I am       staying in the
capital city. In the vacation time if I went to home I have to take a
bus from OLD BUS PARK . It is called   also PURANO BUS PARK in local
language. There are three types of buss to go to my village. They are
Express Bus , Micro Bus and Local Bus. Fare is Rs. 350.00 ($05.00) to
Rs. 500.00 ($07.00). The Express Bus takes approximately 7 hours to my
village Jiri from Kathmandu.  But local Bus takes around 9 hours to
reach some 180 kilometers far way to Jiri .

My house is not exactly in Jiri. It is 170 kilometers far distance
from Kathmandu in Kalang.  Jiri is 10 kilometers ahead from my village
kalang. Jiri is the center of Jiri village development samitee.

---------à It is too much better to call to the friends before to go
to any one village.
---------à Have to be careful  around Bus Counter at ticket buying
time and Bus getting on time, because of sometimes there are some pick
pocketers (picketers) moving and sometimes    they only not pick out
the money but they damaged very important documents like PASSPORT etc.

Many times policemen couldn't catch such  a bad people, because of
there are not enough police men guarding everywhere.


-------àBetter is you have to stay in your buying sit of the Bus if
you get on once whether it becomes little late to move.


-------à Pick pocketers  are not everywhere, they think they will be
safe in crowded and use to stay at Bus Station. If they saw somebody
in hurry, they use their trick whether a people is domestic or
international.




#-------à*#   It is more Better if you have informed to your friend
after arrival in Nepal . I always expecting that we have to talk
through phone line  when my friend lands in Kathmandu.



Almost all time I would like to be in the jungle when I am in my
village. My work in jungle is grazing cattles at  the vacation time.
Travelling in the jungle is very enjoyable one experience. Travelers
may see several  types of small wild animals. Some years ago, it was
possible to see the leopard in daytime in the jungle above my village.
But in these days , jungle is being thin , this is why many wild
animals disappeared. I have again many times getting hope to see the
leopard in the jungle , but it just sometimes appears in summer and it
uses to move mainly in dark. I am feeling , it does not like to stay
in the jungle near my home village in winter .

The jungle is speared between 2555 meters 3350 meters  above my village.

Last time in my winter vacation in January this year I and cousins
went to the jungle and listened Bear barking from very near in the
evening.



Kathmandu   is around in 1423 meters height. My village Kalang  is
around in 2210 meters height.
